Homework Policy
Homework is always due the next day unless stated on our agenda
or in the homework schedule on the Weebly site (SEE HOMEWORK TABS).
Each assignment must be complete, neat, and have the student’s full name
listed on the paper. Not all homework is graded. You will see a check on the
homework indicating that it has been reviewed. These types of homework are
completed for practice. On the other hand, some homework assignments are
graded. The homework assignments that aregraded will be checked for mastery
and receive a traditional score (such as 20/20 or 5/5). Failure to complete homework
will result in the loss of afternoon recess. Students will make up work during this time.
Typical homework assignments include the
following…
Reading Logs: Reading Logs are to be completed 5 out of the 7
days of the week where the student reads at least 30 minutes a night. All
reading logs must be filled out correctly (name, dates, times, and parent
signature) to receive full credit. Reading Logs are always due on Mondays, a
week from the day the students receive them (Ex. Students get reading logs on
Monday 12/10 they are due on Monday 12/17).
Agenda: Students are required to fill out their agendas
completely every day. In addition, each day they are required to receive a
parent signature in their agendas. Make sure students are filling out their
agendas completely. Listed below is an example of a typical agenda.
